Vegan Zebra Cake (Marble Cake) | Sensible Plate

How to make vegan zebra cake (marble cake). This is a very simple yet interesting looking vegan cake to make. I did not make the cake overly sweet, but please feel free to adjust the sugar or pair the cake with something sweeter such as fruit compote or vegan ice cream. Hope you enjoy it!

Ingredients/Recipe:

Chocolate Cake:
100g pastry flour
30g cacao powder
120g unsweetened plain almond milk
70g maple syrup
50g canola oil
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp baking powder

Sift flour & cacao powder and mix with other ingredients until batter is smooth.

Vanilla Cake:
100g pastry flour
100g unsweetened plain almond milk
70g cane sugar
50g canola oil
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp baking powder

Sift flour and mix with other ingredients until batter is smooth.

Alternate ladling 2-4 tbsp of each batter. Depending on how thick or thin you want the stripes, use fewer or more tbsp of each batter each time. Mine could use a bit more precision, but it still turned out great so don’t worry if it’s not perfect. 😉
