  1. I’m vegetarian and I put parmesan cheese on everything. But I recently found out that they kill baby cows and use an enzyme from their stomach to make it! I’m absolutely disgusted. Just goes to show you really have to do your research because you never know what they’re putting in your food!

  2. Yes, the first one is so me and mye boyfriend. We watched the documentaries and went vegan overnight. This was two years ago. We knew nothing about vegan food, the food tasted so bland. I got pregnant, craved a burger and that was it. “Now that you ate that, you might as well quit you horrible person” 😅 this year we desided to not have any rules, not call us vegan. We now eat vegan all the time, with som occational icecream and fish. Great tips, you are very funny 🙂

  3. Just because it’s your opinion doesn’t mean that it can’t be utter bs and getting triggered by it and criticise you for it should be the thing to do.

Kinda seems like you are afraid of opposing opinions. Repeating that’s that it’s just your own opinion like that somehow makes it okay if you would talk bs?

  4. It took me a year to transition, but that is because I grew up Paleo and had to do some serious deprograming. Before my transition, I had the cholesterol of a 60 year old man, dangerously high blood pressure, thyroid problems, anemia, and et cetera. Now I’m the healthiest I’ve ever been, with none of the previous medical issues and my doc is dumbfounded on how I made such a turn around. But the health benefits are just a positive side effect. The reason I transitioned was not because of my poor health, but because I made the ethical connection. I realized that I had a problem with the ideas that I had been fed growing up about how animals are here for us to use and the whole “free range, humane slaughter” 🐂 💩

Currently this month I’m celebrating 2 years fully vegan 🌱

  5. Went vegan overnight (though mentally it took about six months to get to that point). Did *a lot* of research so I wouldn’t fail. I still can’t cook anything fancy and make very simple one pot meals (which jibes with my minimalist desires), but they’re balanced and nutritious. I would never go back. I love helping the animals, my health and the environment. 😊 If I had to add one tip, I’d say, *Care about your health as much as you care about the ethics* . Too many vegans are more focused on the ethical standpoint of being vegan. They’re vegan for the animals at all costs. That’s great, until their unbalanced diet comes back to bite them and they throw in the towel. Lots of vegans say they won’t, but I’ve seen too many videos of vegans who went back to eating meat because they didn’t feel good and said that they felt better once they ate a steak. Societal conditioning is *strong* and people, in their desperation to feel better, will give in. The best defense is not to let yourself get to that point..and if you *do* run into a problem, consult a plant-based nutritionist. A “regular” doctor will only encourage you to eat meat, again. So I have to disagree on the health argument, Rose. For me, personally, it was a contributing factor for me going vegan (family members with heart disease, pre-diabetes, and autoimmune-disease), but the animals help me to *stay* vegan.
Ps: Dr. Greger’s free “Daily Dozen” app is a handy guideline to a balanced, vegan diet and should be a mandatory tool for any vegan newbie (plus, “What I eat in a Day” videos 😉 for ideas). xx

  6. Mistake number one: I did and I’m still vegan I started at age 11 it was me that did it and no one else in my family did it
